What happens next?
We are currently working towards re-housing tenants living in Phase 1A with a view to construction starting towards the end of this year.
We will also be looking to improve some of the blocks in the later phases of the regeneration in line with our Decent Homes Programme.
A new programme of consultation events will be launched with a Community Day in June. These events will be designed to provide you with the most up-to-date and accurate information about the regeneration, and ensure you remain fully involved in shaping the future of your community. Look out for further details in future issues of Wornington Green News.
Wornington Green Community Day - June 2010
The next Community Day for Wornington Green tenants will take place in June. We are working closely with the Wornington Green Focus Group on this event, and further details, including how you can be involved, will be available soon.
The event will also provide you with the opportunity to discuss any concerns you may have with KHT staff. We will be writing to tenants with further details about the Community Day in the weeks ahead.
Timeline:
- February/ March 2010 - Wornington Green plans approved
- 1 April - Wornington Green Decent Homes programme begins
- June 2010 - Wornington Green Community Day
- Late 2010 - Phase 1A construction work begins
