Last year, the team at First Call housing worked to get you involved in shaping the future of Wornington Green. While Clive Burrows, Lead Consultant, attended our focus groups, the team also started to distribute a new regular newsletter.

First Call Housing - Residents' Steering Group

All future meetings of the Residents' Steering Group will take place at the Venture Centre, from 6pm on the third Thursday of every month.

Representatives from First Call Housing will be attending future consultation events to answer your questions and provide support.

First Call Housing - your Independent Tenant Advisor

As you may know, a panel of residents recently completed a series of interviews in December 2008 to select an Independent Tenant Advisor (ITA) for Wornington Green. The ITA will provide independent advice to and representation for residents and the wider community throughout the regeneration.

Following the selection process, a company called First Call Housing was chosen as Wornington Green's new ITA. First Call Housing is experienced in working on housing redevelopment schemes and has provided support and advice to residents for nearly 15 years.

First Call Housing will provide support by:

  • ensuring residents remain fully involved in our proposals for the regeneration of Wornington Green
  • providing high-quality independent advice, as well as a range of services - such as financial and legal expertise
  • helping residents to understand any rehousing issues, rights and options 
  • attending events from KHT's consultation programme, and organising independent consultation events and meetings
  • setting up a residents' steering group - a group of residents who will represent the interests of their community.
