The scheme
Kensington Housing Trust wants to improve the Worninton Green neighbourhood. We want to address the problems that our residents have told us about, such as the building defects, poor sound insulation, overcrowding and security. We also want to work with residents to address wider problems, such as anti-social behaviour, and a lack of employment and training opportunities.
Kensington Housing Trust has been carrying out a range of consultation events with residents at Wornington Green, including open days and residents’ design workshops. We will continue to provide you with comprehensive and timely information, and to work with you on the regeneration of Wornington Green and the wider neighbourhood. The vision for Wornington Green is to build a new, balanced and sustainable community.
The Vision
We want to provide homes and a neighbourhood where people would choose to live now and in the future. We want to do this by building on the strengths of the existing community and ensuring the regeneration plans are shaped by the views and aspirations of local residents. We want residents to be at the heart of our regeneration proposals: during the initial planning; while the construction work takes place; and then into the future of what will be a new and exciting neighbourhood.
